What is your Vision for your Business today? What is unique about what you offer your customers ?

At the May Heart Conscious Business Hub Jacquie Walker facilitated the session for participants to clarify their business vision using a Snap Shot process.  Everyone had the opportunity to create their Vision Statement for their business and then a Mission Statement which was then shared with others .

The Vision Statement describes WHAT your Business is about and the Mission Statement describe how you do it.

The Goal

Vision Statement: A statement of inspirational goal – the desired end state

It is a one-sentence statement describing the clear and inspirational long-term desired change resulting from an organization or program’s work.

Design your vision statement to clearly communicate what you are working to achieve in a way that people can remember it and communicate this to others.

Oxfam: A just world without poverty

RSPCA Australia Vision: To be the leading authority in animal care and protection.

Make-A-Wish: Our vision is that people everywhere will share the power of a wish



Mission Statement: A statement to describe what you do: 

A mission Statement is usually a one-sentence statement describing the reason an organization or program exists and used to help guide decisions about priorities, actions, and responsibilities. Good mission statements should be clear, memorable, and concise.

Some examples :

Oxfam: To create lasting solutions to poverty, hunger, and social injustice.

RSPCA Australia mission statement To prevent cruelty to animals by actively promoting their care and protection.

Make-A-Wish: We grant the wishes of children with life-threatening medical conditions to enrich the human experience with hope, strength and joy.

 Some mission statements give a more detailed perspective stating what where and how the company operates and promotes values that will appeal to their customer base.

The next step  – How

Business objectives:  Business objectives are the stated, measurable targets of how to achieve business aims. Your objectives should relflect and action.

Objectives statements need to reflect and action that can me measured and that are directly linked to your Vision and Mission Statement. Identify your keywords. SEO scanners will pick up on these in your web posts.
